Building Mechanical Technician

As a Building Mechanical Technician, you will contribute to a wide variety of projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal sectors.

Using specialized software, you will work closely with engineers in the design of plans and specifications while actively contributing throughout the different phases of projects.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include :

  • Participating in the design and drafting of building mechanical projects;
  • Collaborating closely with members of the design team;
  • Supporting engineers in project development by leveraging your technical expertise and knowledge;
  • Contributing to the preparation of construction cost estimates;
  • Performing construction site supervision and follow-up.

Requirements and Desired Skills

What you bring :

  • College diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Mechanics, or Building Drafting;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in architecture or design, or 5 years of experience in building mechanics;
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD software;
  • Valid driver’s license.

Bonus Assets :

  • Knowledge of the National Plumbing Code and CSA B149.1;
  • Proficiency with Revit software;
  • Valid ASP Construction card.
